The Energy Management Awards (EMA) is an annual event that promotes excellence in energy management and recognizes companies that have achieved a significant reduction in their energy consumption through the implementation of energy-efficient measures and technologies.
1. Clean cooking week
Clean cooking week is an event that brings together key stakeholders in the clean cooking energy sector such as government representatives, energy sector experts, international development partners and members of the public with the goal of encouraging the use of clean cooking solutions.
The goals encompass increasing awareness, promoting the exchange of information and knowledge, and participating in policy discussions to push for the clean cooking agenda at both the county and national levels.
2. High-level session on bioethanol and cogeneration conference scheduled for 7th March 2025 at Grand Royal Swiss Hotel, Kisumu.
The state department for Energy in partnership with other stakeholders has planned a high-level session on Bioethanol and cogeneration conference under the theme “Revitalizing cogeneration and bioethanol production for a greener future”. A technical session was held that discussed the status of cogeneration and bioethanol in Kenya and the strategies for revitalizing cogeneration and bioethanol using locally produced materials. The technical session generated recommendations to be shared and discussed in the high-level session with key stakeholders. The session is expected to generate actionable recommendations for implementation by the cogeneration and Bioethanol stakeholders.
