The Government is fast tracking the completion of new power lines that will provide alternative sources of power to the existing ones to address the power interruption in the country. This will ensure there is a stable supply of power and hence curb power outages experienced in the past
Cabinet Secretary Hon. Charles Keter has said all Primary Schools will be connected to power by February 29th 2016. CS Keter appealed to the Rural Electrification Authority (REA) and the Kenya Power (KPLC) to work around the clock to meet the deadline. He said the Government will not extend the deadline.
